It seems almost everyone is in love with birds. Bead and jewelry artists are no exception...expressions range from the whimsical to the tribal and mystical. Amazing sources of inspiration!
I'll be honest, this post is pretty much a simple visual tour with no commentary. I'll just let you enjoy the images I collected. :)
But first, I like this poem as a little reminder: there is time for song and time for rest (something I must remember myself)...
“Every spring
I hear the thrush singing
in the glowing woods
he is only passing through.
His voice is deep,
then he lifts it until it seems
to fall from the sky.
I am thrilled.
I am grateful.
Then, by the end of morning,
he's gone, nothing but silence
out of the tree
where he rested for a night.
And this I find acceptable.
Not enough is a poor life.
But too much is, well, too much.
Imagine Verdi or Mahler
every day, all day.
It would exhaust anyone.”

Finally, a small bit of wisdom from Maya Angelou...
"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song."
I enjoyed your bird tour and the the quotes you included. Thanks!
